Latest cookery news - 27/09/18
If you were lucky enough to be walking down the KS1 corridor yesterday you would have been greeted with the most wonderful smells emanating from the Rainforest Room. Mrs Green and four lucky pupils who were chosen for their culinary skills were baking up a feast of tray bakes, muffins, flapjacks and much more for our pop-up café in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
Ok, we have to hold our hands up to the fact that an array of sweet treats being offered for our coffee morning may not coincide with this year's 'getting fit and healthy' campaign but did you realise that the breakfast muffin recipe has no less than five fruits/ vegetables in it?! It's all about a 'little bit of what you fancy' or treating yourself every now and then as part of a balanced diet and active lifestyle.
Thank you goes to our chefs Kain, Leighla , Mya-Ruby and Sienna...here's a sneek peek of them cooking up beetroot and chocolate cupcakes, breakfast muffins and banana flapjacks! Mmmmm yummy!
